Description

Rope Rescue Operations is designed to instruct the students on knots and hitches utilized in the rope rescue scenarios, how to construct and utilize a low angle haul and lowering system, how to construct and utilize belay systems, how to construct and utilize a high angle haul and lowering system, how to inspect and maintain various rope rescue equipment, and how to construct and utilize a fixed rope system. This class will have a large amount of practical skills demonstrations so students must be physically capable of performing all skills to be successful with the program.

Pre-requisites: 18 y/o+, Rope Rescue Awareness

Required: Rescue gloves, head, hand, foot, and eye protection.

**Students may bring their own personal, or department's, rope rescue PPE or equipment, but it's use is subject to an inspection and approval from the instructors prior to use.
