Description

If you are fire service leader, or aspiring leader, this is a must-see program! This is not a program about stretching lines, or throwing ladders, or cracking roofs, or rural water supply. It is focused on the most important role we have – leading people! Firefighting is physically demanding and mentally intense, and there can be no substitute for competency when our community calls on us to place ourselves between harm, and those we have sworn an oath to protect.

However, leadership in today’s world demands a different approach. As controversial as it may seem, this is a time for heightened accountability in striving for perfection, not less. This program will cover a wide array of leadership topics, culminating with an unplugged session where participants can ask the instructors about any topic in the fire service and then hold them accountable to give actual answers – not the politically correct ones – but the ones that are elusive and difficult.  All of the easy problems in the fire service have long been solved – the only ones left are the wicked ones. Come to this program and be part of the next generation of leaders to do so!
