Introduction to the Fire Service NFPA 1010 (2026) is the newest version of entry level firefighting training delivered by PA State Fire Academy. This is the first of four courses designed to provide the student with the knowledge, skills and abilities to function as a member of a team during an emergency response.

This program will focus on general safety items including the proper donning and doffing of your PPE, inspection of PPE, situational awareness when working in a dynamic emergency scene, scene safety, riding apparatus, and other topics.

Pre-requisites:

- 14 y/o or older

- Member of a sponsoring emergency services provider
