Description

LCPSTC is proud to host Insight Training and their thermal imager training program!

Today's firefighters are facing unique challanges compared to their predecessors. Live fire training is restricted regarding fuel loads, and it is often difficult to acquire on a regular basis. Even with a Class A burn, firefighters are being shown fire behavior definitions and concepts in a non-realistic enviroment due to the limitations on the types of fuel loads that can be used and ventilation conditions. This training class utilizes various live-fire training props to bring these definitions to life, before the students eyes so that they are able to comprehend them in a safe enviroment, prior to experiencing them inside a live fire incident.

This program is a total of 8 hours, in a hybrid format in which there will be classroom lecture, combined with hands on demonstrations.

Course Prerequisites: Interior Firefighter, Basic Fire Academy, or Firefighter I certification
